I have a good deal of both commercial and Military Issue Soviet/Russian uniforms and gear , due to the lack of regulations in the Russian army ,I have put several Commercial sets in this section as there is a chance they could have been used in the Military .

Im going to start with some Brown Afgan era type uniforms , The First below was assembled by a friend Bob Lundy who gave his whole collection, I know one of the badges is incorrect , but Im going to leave it as I got it from my friend for now .

Commercial boonie hat below

Second is a Uniform i got in a Large collection of Russian stuff I bought from a Soldier serving in the U.S. Army in Bosina , He told me he did a lot of trading with the Russians for American gear , The Russians like some of the U.S. gear better then their own , Items like rain gear and Boots were a big item for the Russians as they either did not have them or they were of very bad quality , I got a pair of modern Russian boots from the same guy and they are very low quality , the soles are almost like a hard foam ,and I do not think they would hold up too long ,

Also below is a rare Afghan period vest from the same gentleman , used by Russian engineers , they did not hold up well and are very hard to find these days .

BVD Assault vest .

Greatcoat

Below are some versions of KLMK camo items

Below is a modern version of the KLMK , probably commercial in orgin , these were seen in use in the recent Georgian conflict.

Below is a very unusual set I got off of ebay , the patch and chevron probably denote a Russian extremist group that was anti communisum in nature , But I have not identified exactly which.

Below is the tropical pattern used by certain units of the MVD , it is 90's era and not Afghan era as many are sold as.

Below is an example of the KZS suit

Now onto VSR pattern items , this is one of my favorite patterns , and there is a whole slew of things in this pattern.

Mustard color  work shirt possibly commercial hunting shirt

Mustard pants , they do not directly match the top above , but they are close

The below set is commercial bought by an American Serviceman to wear during OPFOR , He told me he got to wear it one time in class ,But then the brass told them all they have to wear OD BDUs when playing the enemy .

Pilots/Aircrew Pants

the hat below is commercial

The vest below is commercial for hunting and has shotgun shell loops in the pockets

Commercial duffle used by units in Bosnia

Commercial work suit below

Knit cap

Below is a very Interesting suit , sadly it only has the beret, hood and Jacket , it is missing the pants and face mask , but I got a great deal on it so I am not complaining  , this is a rare oversuit like the KLMK oversuits , but in Brown Base VSR , it is identical to the later MVD special uni's.

Another type of uniform

Some VSR caps

Below you can see the varied colors used.

Now onto Woodland , this pattern was introduced during the communist period , but is still in limited use. this pattern is known as TTsko

First is a modern Pilots suit , bought off of ebay ,it had a U.S. pin in one of the pockets and I think it was a bring back/trade from operations there.

The suit below was purchased at a Militaria show , it included the beret shown , it has a Naval Marine patch pinned to the arm pocket , but not sewn.

Another nice set of TTsko

Cap

Vest , not sure if commercial or military ,most likely commercial.

Below is a tanker suit , it might be Ukrainian , but I will keep it here for now as the cut is identical to Russian , but the quality seems low for Russian .

The shirt below is much greener then the pic shows .

Below is a unidentified woodland suit based on the Naval type colors  , most likely commercial

Now were up to the post Communist period , the first pattern adopted seems to be Flora , VSR was in wide use but was developed during the communist rule , it was and is common to see many patterns being used even is small units today.

I have several sets with Green based and Tan based shades .

Beret ,Thanks Mike

Below are a piar of Russian modern combat boots , these have to be some of the cheapest made boots I have ever seen , I am suprised as the quality of earlier jack boots are so nice ! these boots do not seem like they would hold up well in the field and I have heard from vets who were in the former Yugoslavia ,the russians would trade big time for U.S. combat boots !

Navy Shirt

Russian Awards and pins:

SMK Gorad winter set , this is a commercial set

Below are some odds and ends , first is MVD blue tiger pattern.

SMOG pattern , this is a commercial set

Green based Tiger , this is a commercial hunting and fishing vest.
